"I'm Wren. I'm helping him," she answered, gesturing toward Matt. "Well, as far as I can tell, he didn't really know what he was doing when he did that to you."
(I'm back! Sorry for being gone for so long. I probably won't be able to get on very often anymore, but I'll try!)
"It'll be okay, Violet. He's done this many times. It'll be over before you know it." Wren said reassuringly.
"It was odd, as if someone had just left the door unlocked, which never happens. I kinda feel like they wanted us to escape so they could make an example of us to the other workers. Well, that obviously didn't work, so they'll probably up their security for the next couple weeks. We might want...
"This is Violet. Violet, this is Matt." Turning to him, she spoke. "I need you to remove her chip. She literally just came from the factory, so she'll have inside information: locations of guards, changing of shifts, maybe even where our families are. She can help us get the rest of those kids...
"Come on then!" Wren led the way through twisted narrow alleyways until they reached Matt's hideout. "This way." She headed up the stairs and knocked gently on his door, once, twice, once, and three times.
Wren ducked around the soldiers and ran, sprinting through the narrow alleyways. After a while she doubled back the way that Violet had ran, searching for her. Finally she found her, huddled in a shadow with a panicked look on her face. "Violet! There you are!" Wren ran up to her and collapsed...
"It can't be that easy," Wren muttered, glancing around after they exited the building. There. Tucked in the eaves of the warehouse were evenly-spaced security cameras. "Violet, we have to get out of here. NOW!" But even as she turned to run she knew it was too late. A group of soldiers rounded...
Wren woke as the bright, florescent factory lights suddenly turned on all at once with a loud chook sound and a robotic voice began to speak. "Stations 1 through 15 will activate in 10 minutes. Get to your assigned station immediately. Tardy workers will be punished." Wren sat up, knocking her...
Wren stared up at the ceiling, lost in thought. Finally she answered, with out shifting her gaze. "We need at least a faint idea. Oh, don't worry he's nearby, maybe 15 minutes or so away. Although it might be 30 if we play it safe and take the long route..." She mused, almost to herself.
"Okay, thanks. I know someone we can go to when you leave. He'll take out your chip for you." Wren replied, sitting down on top of the blanket. (If you don't mind that she knows Matt, @RiverStorm?)
(I'm back! Man, guys, the last couple pages have been EXCITING! :pop)
"Okay..." Wren said, not quite accepting her answer. "So, um, what should I do? I mean, I'm kinda stuck in here..." She said, nodding to the now-locked door.
Wren is currently in the warehouse talking to Violet, who is feeling extreme pain in her head due to an unknown (as of yet) cause. Matt captured Lilith and removed her chip, and they went to try and rescue Falcon. When Lilith tried to tell Falcon that he was under government control, he shot her...
"Oh. Wow. That's crazy..." Wren whispered. She jumped as the girl shouted out. "Are you okay? What's wrong?" She asked urgently, worried. The girl looked like her head was going to explode.
