    You don't need to touch her tongue, just open bill and slide tube in. It works best for me if I start by inserting the tube on their left then aim diagonally across the tongue to their right.     Hey, I almost forgot, you should melt the end of the tube a little because some tubing edges might be too sharp.

    Yeah, but I'm not sure what the dose is. :idunno Metacam (meloxicam) can also be given. The dose is 0.09 mg per pound. Commonly used in dogs and cats.

    Broad spectrum would be best (gram positive and gram negative coverage), but I doubt a pet store will have them. Won't hurt to check though. :idunno

    A pet store is unlikely to carry much, but an amoxicillin, Cephalexin, or maybe penicillin. @Patrick McKee , maybe ask your friend what antibiotics are given to people?
