I don't know anything else that kills like that. Wouldn't your dogs have barked at anything tearing up your chickens? If they had seen it? Is it possible they attacked the chickens?

I agree on it being a dog. They kill for the fun of it, usually by shaking, and the move onto the next. I lost 2 goats and five chickens to two dogs one time. Bodies were everywhere.
