I got them mid May.....I want to say they were hatched the 15th or 17th? Whatever Monday is closest to one of those dates. They're a happy bunch, glad you are enjoying them. I did sell a dozen of their eggs locally and at least some were developing at an early candling...haven't checked with... -

Okay, so I got home today and definitely had a duck egg. It was right in front of their night crate, was covered in poop and mud.....and just "looks different". Whoo hooo! I am going to make them a nice hay nest next to their crate so they will hopefully lay them there. Yay ducks! -

Do the eggs look rougher? Are they a different shape? I only have 3 white egg layers in my flock. 2 White Leghorn hens who lay HUGE white eggs. And a single Andalusian who is not yet laying. I do have some leghorn crosses that I believe lay a lightly tinted egg....I got a few smaller white eggs... -

What color eggs do WH lay? Seems like my girls should be laying but........ How can I tell the differnce between my duck eggs and chicken eggs? What size bands can I use on WH ladies? I have 3 that are identical but I would like to band them so I can tell the difference. Short of using a zip...
