I believe OP is talking about breeding pens. 1 drake to 6 females. :) I know @casportpony has quite a bit of info on penis prolapse and also @Pyxis is a vet tech and can probably offer some info.

6 hens per drake shouldn’t be a problem. I don’t think I’d go any higher on the ratio though. Are they breeding now? Just wondering since breeding season is over for the year since mid November when my Muscovy molted.

I honestly don’t know what could cause it then. Maybe talk to other breeders and maybe they can give some ideas.

Shed have probably bitten it. Looks like something to eat when hanging. I am wondering if your drakes are getting quiet a lot of exercise? That can help with this problem and I understand not having too many females can also help can you tell us what your ratio is duck to drakes? I know about...
