I would talk to the breeder she maybe just mixing breeds of chickens but she may also be breeding sizzles. A sizzle is crossing a Silkie with usually Cochin. Then you selectively breed the offspring back to Silkie over many generations you get birds with all the characteristics of a Silkie...- NNYchick
