Oh, maybe, just maybe the snake got a hold of her first and started squeezing but she was able to get away? The eyes are a result of the start of suffocation? I don’t know that anyone would know what effects that could have.
If it just started, could be respiratory. Definitely watch for watery discharge.

As far as little nippy, the eyes have always been that way? Do they ever get watery? Can you tell if maybe she is blind or has limited vision?
You found correct for the male. Easiest way to know is do you see what look like 2 rice grains. For the female at a young age before the oviduct makes it obvious, you will look in the same area, but you would see a pinkish single but flat organ. It will be very similar in color to the kidneys...
I know pictures don't always represent what you see in person, but the pics you have posted don't really show red combs at this point. I only see pink/orangey combs, even on little snot. His color is what tells me he is a roo (the red bar on his wings!)
