Well, they don't actually have 'one' anyway ....such an odd euphemism. :lol:
Mine have coincidentally been named Woody(the Wellsummer) and Willie(of the Withered Wattle).
Maybe that's contributing to the 'pink'...they all look a bit too pink, but could be the light and/or the heat and/or 'excitement/exertion' from being caught and held.
Not guessing, sorry ;)
I see it...she looks stoned. :lol:
I wouldn't worry about it unless she's not eating/drinking/pooping and moving around with vigor.
Think they were answering the title question...but who knows?<shrugs>
Have read that one......but I don't eat organ 'meat'.
I am tho, an anatomy nerd and find it all fascinating.
After learning about chickens and slaughtering them was a bit tickled to ID nads in grocery birds, just didn't recognize what they were until my chickeneering education began.
@Tesumph...
Lack 'O Nads?
You might not have found these had you not carefully opened the way you did.
Slaughtered a few 15wo cockerels last week, was surprised how big theirs were, about nickel sized end to end...no pics.
:lol::gig
They sure do seem to be!!
I keep thinking about this....it's gotta be the heat down there......time will tell.
I know older pullets close to POL can go redder with excitement/exertion then pale back out when they clam down..can drive ya nuts!
This has to do with hormone flow and reproductive status, thinks it only applies to mature birds....4wo chicks don't have hormone flows yet.
All those pics on the first post sure have large and red C&W....time will tell.
