A lot will disagree with this.... What I have done when I had this happen, is I did the same as you to begin with. The rule is if you see blood STOP, ok? Make sure it has a little hole to breathe with, is its beak actually sticking out? Wait about two to three more hours, then slowly peel...- thndrdancr
