    Fingers crossed you get that warm up! Now if we start talking ducks I'll be contemplating building them nicer digs as well. Their outdoor run could be bigger and nicer but I'm space squeezed. Hmmm.

    Hi again @aart ! Yes it's great to have the extra indoor space. That tail... well it's usually curled up but does seem a bit long. He's a kangal but I call him a kangal-roo because it's the thickest tail I've ever seen. Maybe he'll grow into it!

    Hoop coops are not expensive or difficult to build. This half design was a bit more of both, and somewhat risky. But the regular kind isn't bad and so nice. I'm doing one on a 2ft knee wall for a greenhouse in March.

    Thank you, they really are a delight to see scratching and doing chicken stuff on nasty weather days. The roosters have enough room to coexist nicely too, which in this climate could have been a problem!

    I just wanted to give an update on my half(quarter?) cattle panel hoop covered run. I didn't do everything I'd hoped of course, but it's working out well. I thought I needed to completely waterproof the ceiling joints where the panels meet but there's really no need as a run. Slow drips in...
