    Interesting. That last link said one confirmed case in Alameda County. Redwood City is in San Mateo County. Fremont is in Alameda County.

    I called (one of) my local avian vet(s) and encouraged them to also call the authorities. I have asked them to help educate the public, as well. They are in contact with the stafe Vet and are compiling information.

    I am going to encourage my local avian vets to call, too. Sorry, I’m having trouble keeping up. Who should we call in addition to the Governor’s office? And if wild birds can be carriers, is euthanizing poultry really going to stop this?
