    My Silkie hen "Foxy" had, at last count late this afternoon, six beautiful baby chicks. Still two more eggs to hatch (hopefully). She is our first broody and seems to be a great mother hen.

    My broody Silkie hen had 8 eggs under her and I thought they were due to hatch tomorrow (3/11), but when I went to check on her today I found four new chicks. She has four more eggs yet to hatch.
