the only critters around here that i have seen are possums and stray dogs...and we deter them by having my dogs kennel set up in the the birds yard.....her insistent and annoying yapping at the slightest noise seems to keep most predators away...we also have cats that hang out with the birds as...
I know the feeling Blue is my favorite color in all kinds of backyard birds...and i love watching them on my yard chasing flies and running for treats. and they are great mothers too!!
thats not too far from me....i have lots of muscovys. my boys are blue-fawn and blue my girls are chocolate, blue, white and varying degrees of black and white...and 21 ducklings currently .
Not always the bad ones... I have 3 in my incubator that say otherwise... Sometimes they just get over enthusiastic about rearranging their nests.... And eggs get pushed off to the sides in the process...

Maybe she was sitting longer than you thought? If they are hatching they are obviously ready to hatch....muscovy don't always take 35 days to hatch either it can be shorter or longer...

@ameliadanielle I guess I am lucky that my girls chose to nest in the houses I provided for them I just kept moving their eggs to where I wanted them Lol, I have found that Rubbermaid type bins with doors cut in the side to be popular , or anything similar . I have a three hole nest box made...
It's OK, you were understably excited, I have mystery goose eggs in the incubator and I am about to burst with excitement... I won't know what kind they are until they hatch...Toulouse are my favorite goose after Canadian geese
