I live in "the great lake state" mosquitos are BAD here ! I am just hoping they keep it under control so we dont get eaten alive. I have to go run around in the back yard & dump out water buckets. -

I hate mosquitos this is why I went with this breed. The only thing my dh had to say was "they are mosquito ducks" we ran out & got them the same day lol. -

I have 2 silkies also they also came as a straight run .They do grow really slow don't they? He has 7 roos thats why they crow like mad I keep telling him its not a good idea to have all 7 of them in the same run-it falls on deafs ears.. -

My dad has 7 silky roosters all they do is crow !! Then he went out and bought RIR straight run no clue how many roosters are in that. But I dont know how he does it, telling him what to do doesnt work - so I just leave him alone. I am surprised noone has complained -

He said he loved it crowing it reminded him of being out in the country... I hated our roo it was so loud I had to get rid of him because we have a 5 chicken limit & you know how chicken math is lol... -

Yeah it is a shame & here we are in the city & got yelled at by our neighbor when we got rid of our roo lol. The neighbor was so mad he threw a hissy fit & wouldnt talk to us for months . I told him to go suck a duck & go get his own roo sheesh
