    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

Me Too! She has never had an idea with anyone out there. But you know, I haven't seen any of the boys even attempt to mount her yet..... Maybe they tried when I wasn't looking and decided against ever doing it again? Lol

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

It's really hard to tell now if the little one is still functioning or not. It's totally hidden behind a bunch of fluff and legs lol. There's no crusties there though so either very little comes out there or she keeps it very clean.

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

I tried using that. It just said, this url cannot be used :/. Maybe I'll upload to YouTube later and try again. She definitely isn't slowed down at all by her little deformity. DD was out there with me yesterday watching her and she got all excited for a minute because she thought Ripley moved...

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

Tried just copying the video here but it doesn't want to work. Here's Ripley, out exploring and digging for bugs. https://www.facebook.com/665515010568123/posts/696525694133721/

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

Ripley, along with all her brooder mates, made the journey out to the main coop today to join the flock! I'll get new pictures when I can but it may not be for a few days. I'll probably leave her alone during the transition. They suddenly have a lot more room to move and probably a lot of stress...

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

As far as I can tell, both cents still work though barely anything comes out of the little one, only a dribble. Nothing gets stuck in feathers but her one foot needs cleaned off every now and then. Not bad though :)

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

Ripley time! I think it may be safe to say that she only has one tail now. Those other weird feathers I think are just leg feathers for her extra legs :) I tried to get her from a bunch of different angles. She's growing just as well as everyone else in the brooder :)

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

Ripley is a month old now! I have to clean some poop off her extra legs every couple days (miniscule account) but I've watched her clean then off herself a bit so she's learning how to care for her extra parts :)

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

She's actually not as friendly as her siblings all were. I think she gets frustrated because I'm always messing with and cleaning up her butts lol. She is a spunky little thing though! New thought too....will she have 2 oil glands? Lol

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

That's what I'm trying to figure out! They're almost like a fan! She's going to have some odd fanny flare!

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

Ripley is almost 3 weeks old now! The question of the week....what will her tail look like? Will she have 1, 2, none? Any guesses? I know we'll know soon!

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

Yes, a vet removed the extra legs when she grew up and started having issues with them.

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

It's possible. Will have to wait and see. I did talk to someone else who also has a 4-legged hen. Well, had. They had the extra legs removed but she also has two vents. She lays an egg daily for them, always through the larger vent.

    Ripley, the 4 legged chicken!?

I'm wondering the same thing, especially if it was an absorbed twin... Very curious! Hopefully she won't have future issues but for now, she's doing great! I'm guessing that eggs will all be laid through the larger vent. Another thing I've been wondering lately is if she has double the ovaries...
