With the wheaten color if you breed to a cuckoo pattern or barred you will get crele pattern from some of the chicks.
I used a blue cuckoo oe hen with a wheaten Marans rooster and the cockerel chicks carried the crele pattern.
The copper roosters do look better , but if from same breed dings...

The ee has to be a blue egg layer and yes you can cross them on the welsummer and you can make Olive eggers.

I just wanted to share that I just candled Young Olive Eggers and I got 10 out of 10 that ar growing great.
I can't wait till they hatch. these chicks will be croosed with Blue Jersey Giants (they are laying med Brown eggs)
