    You are right, ShockValue about almost being impossible to tell some of these crosses from the purebreds. That is why it is so important to keep them separate in some way during hatching if possible and then band them. I had 2 blue Olive Egger hens that I had to band so I wouldn't get them mixed...

    Well,I was soo excited that I had a new OE chick! Then I got on this thread to find out more. Now I really don't know what I have because I never considered that Marans - EE x did not = OE! My roo is a blue copper and the egg was light green from an EE. I hope that it will be a OE pullet...
