    Since the wound isn't leaking, it must be sealed. Probably the digestive tract healed over it on the inside, and now the wound is free to close further. I'd be inclined to put an antibiotic ointment on it until it's done healing, but this is a very good sign.

    Is a vet not an option? Even if you don't have one in the area who treats birds, you might be able to get one to agree to at least X-ray and see what's going on.

    In case it hasn't yet been addressed- I guarantee you she is in pain. Prey animals are very good at hiding their pain, but this is the sort of thing that hurts.
