I think your problem is your feed. You are keeping it too long. I hope you are giving them fresh feed now.

Nevertheless, you must get rid of any feed that has maggots in it. That in itself tells me it is too old to use. I'm sure there are mold spores. Mold spores actually start forming on foods almost immediately, so keeping feed for a year doesn't even sound feasible to me.

How are the other chicks?

Do you just have the one chick? How old is it? Can you post a picture or video?
