DH travels a lot so I know the time will come when I have to, and I think when I know I have to, I will be able to. Just having him to fall back on has been my safety net to this point.
oh makes my stomach turn.....I haven't found my farmer legs yet for things like this. Although I was able to decide a chicken needed culled, but dh did the deed. I have a long way to go, but I really want to get there for the health of our herds/flocks.
Oh they are so so adorable!! Thats another debate we are having polled vs. being disbudded. Now we are looking at which would be easier/more manageable with our lifestyles- milking or fiber goats...so many things to consider with every decision!
We have gotten massive amounts of rain lately, we got 4.5 inches last Thursday-Friday and its raining again now. Chicken run is a soggy swamp, as is rest of the yard.
Do goats take shelter in rain?
I'm close to 45, so I think I will have binders as well!! But yes, the worming and vaccines, and milking and shelter and bedding and feed have me drowning in information at the moment.
WV- they are adorable!!
We just finished our fence posts for goats, so we are getting closer to actually getting them. I am a little over whelmed with their upkeep compared to chickens, but this thread is certainly helping!
