they are spending their first night in the coop tonight, hoping they adjust fine!

this coop is only for winter then is getting taken down (they have a giant pond home for summer)

that’s why we can’t get another dog right now, and our other is older and probably wouldn’t be the best for training. once we have more time we will definitely consider a new puppy!

we do have a dog, but he is an inside dog. your saying to keep a dog outside right?

what if i don’t have time to add the hardware cloth or anything underground? i can add the wood and easy things like that but don’t have that much time to do it

it would be outside the coop, so smaller rodents wouldn’t matter would they? and how far would i need to place the wood, like how long/far would a fox dig

would just putting fire wood (like logs) every place the fox could dig work?

also, unrelated but would ducks be able to have a starbucks puppichino?

it’s not that i don’t want them safe, i get home at 4, it gets dark at 6. in between that i have to eat dinner and do homework and stuff.

we don’t have a run in this coop, it’s their winter coop (they have a giant fenced in pond home for summertime) so we will be letting them be outside while supervived this winter (it’s prolly gonna be too cold anyways for them to stay out long)

how about 1/8 inch thick wood on top of the grass except for in middle of coop?

they have a roof so they’d probably be safe from hawks and birds i’m just worried about anything digging under but don’t know if we will have enough time to do the hardware cloth

so hardware cloth and 1/8 inch wood over top would be good?
