The only real experience I have with Olive Eggers is putting a Penedesenca rooster over a green egg laying Ameraucana hen. Her daughters laid some pretty nice olive eggs. I never tried to keep that line going nor did I keep any of the cockerels from that pairing. I didn't know places like TSC...
Just keep in mind that the rooster's genetics are at least as important as the hen's for the resultant daughters.
Did you say what color eggs the roosters came out of?
Having never been bitten, the only way I can relate to that is the swelling that my dogs experienced from being bitten by all species of venomous snakes in our neck of the woods.
