What did you do with your flock today?

Today I'm trying to decide what to do with the 11 ducklings in the bathtub. They have outgrown the tub and have started to jump out. Warm weather, even cool weather, they'd have been outside weeks ago. But the nights get way cold, but truthfully, I'm more concerned about the local hawks. The...

The tom in the picture isn't a wild, he's a bourbon red domestic. Beautiful bird.

What did you do with your flock today?

Try hard boiled egg and dry meal worms mixed and mashed together; not the shells. If you can keep food in her she will likely survive unless it gets too bad with the respiratory system.

What did you do with your flock today?

Pox is a horrid thing to deal with, but for those with dry pox the outlook is good. I had to deal with pox a few years ago and 100% of those with dry pox survived and most with wet pox survived as well. I worried that the pox would be a reoccurring problem. It's been 3 years with no sign of...

After the serama, I would say that my mixed phoenix are a favorite. One of my breeding projects is to produce a long tailed bird that has feathered legs/feet, muff, and a crest. I only hatch a few for myself as I know that other people are not likely to want them, but even at that I have extras...

What did you do with your flock today?

The same here. I about have to give away mixes with the poultry. Even crossing colors of the same breed gets lifted noses. My Phoenix are beautiful birds, but because they are a cross of red and white... My best selling are tiny serama bantams. As pets.

The coop is the bottom of a tree house; the roof being the tree house floor, which is now gone (tree house). Built around a big pine, the coop leaks around the trunk when rains are heavy, otherwise the coop is dry and fairly cool in the summer. The south side is screen covered in plastic...

What did you do with your flock today?

Waiting on @nchls school to hopefully come back and share more about the pretty awesome and unusual coop. May have to go snoop around if not. Curious. My Tennessee poverty coop? Built a few years ago after a huge storm blew the other away. At a time when finances were strained past the limit...
