Shrinkwrapping isn't an instant thing. Just make sure you put a pipette or dropper full of water on a paper towel into your incubator the moment you open it. This will bring the humidity back up very quickly and dry out quickly enough that it doesn't add to the overall humidity. You can take...

It's only day 16. Don't worry. In my experience, the first one to pip is never the first one to hatch, and usually sits for more than 24 hours before zipping. If you're worried, try gently tapping on the egg next to your ear. You should hear a response. You can also try candling.

They can stay in the incubator for up to 24 hours with no harm. It's okay to sleep. :)

It does! You're going to have a chick before morning would be my guess.

I have a pair (they're actually my roommate's now) in a plastic bin that I converted to a brooder and is now a button quail habitat. This picture is from when it was a brooder. Now it has fake plants and little boxes for hidey holes in it.

In that heat, have your incubator up and running so you can pop the eggs into the incubator as soon as you get them. That way if they've begun to develop, they'll still be okay.

That looks good. You should probably turn the eggs every 3 hours or so rather than every hour, though.

I hope you get at least two. They aren't meant to be alone and a singleton won't be happy.

They might be okay, they might drown.

10% either way is unlikely to do harm. I would not let it go over 70%, though. Nature is amazing and can be surprisingly flexible.

Yes. For button quail, I had my hatching humidity around 60%.
