Yeah this
Is not how anyone should treat a DAY OLD duckling ! I agree , but I'm pretty sure it wasn't long enough to get splayed leg. Nonetheless no one should treat it that way .
I'm comfortable with the way they hold there birds because I don't see them as getting hurt , more along the lines...
Ummmmm ? It's really not ! Sure they're not perfect with everything they ever do, but who is, are you ? Truth is probably not, none of us are, except jesus !
Ok well without all your smart Aleck (or however you spell that word ! ) Answers , what I was getting at is sometimes they need to be chased in rare cases and it's fine ! Will it really hurt the chooks being chased a little , roosters Chase the hens and the hens might get annoyed or stressed...
okay let's put it this way, if you had a chicken that was very shy and had been injured very badly but could still run around a lot would you rather chase it down and try to help it or leave it because you're too afraid to chase it because it might die from exhaustion or stress ?
Ok so you've been in the same situation ? When your teaching kids to be gentle with animals they're not gonna be the first couple times! but they'll get the hang of it ! And as long as your careful about it they'll be fine .
I let my little one year old brother hold the older chickens that are about six or eight weeks old with supervision of course and if he ever hurts them I just tell him not to do that and he now knows to be gentle
There kids will learn and there chickens aren't gonna die ! Benji just had to...
