My Wheaten Ameraucanas are 28 weeks and not laying yet, although their combs are starting to grow and darken. Each bird lays at her own pace - some breeds taking longer to mature than others. I'd imagine my pullets are a few weeks away from lay as their pelvic bones haven't opened up nicely...
