    Eh, it can also be incredibly misleading...not to mention demeaning. Your light eater might be low bird and not get enough to eat during the day. The zapper light is stimulating and thus may keep her up past her 'bedtime'.

    This will sound condescending and is kinda meant to be ;). Keepers need to learn about chicken behaviors and needs, and accommodate/manipulate their environment for their best health, instead of comparing them to human behaviors.
