If it's only the tip, then even if it does come off he will likely be fine. As long as the quick is not damaged too much beaks will grow back with some time, it can be slow. Pictures are helpful.- coach723

That may be an injury from getting caught on a feeder or waterer, or putting the beak through wire to get something on the other side. If so, it may grow out and resolve with time. Also could have been made worse if others pecked it initially. Beaks grow slowly.- coach723
