I wasn't any use with TV or movies. never seen the Karare Kid, and not even watched TV for well over 20 years. I'm averse to the 'programming'.

Never heard of him, tbh. It's a quote which has been around much longer than he has (I did a search on the web), it's an old Zen quote. I possibly heard it via Alan Watts.
