What are the main causes for feather picking/eating?

Most of the chicks look like the first 2 pictures, which is what I think are cockerels. The last 2 pictures are what I think are pullets but of course I may be wrong.

What are the main causes for feather picking/eating?

Yes, it is becoming obvious that most of them are cockerels. I culled an aggressor, I saw him plucking out feathers of the others. Yes they were outgrowing the brooder I had them in, I waited to long to move them into a larger area I’m guessing.

What are the main causes for feather picking/eating?

Yes, probably needs more time to actually help. I’m just extra worried over it since I’ve never had this problem before, one chick since then has had all his tail feathers plucked and was bleeding pretty bad, had to remove him from the others. The bleeding has stopped but his tail is looking...

What are the main causes for feather picking/eating?

Right now they are on 18% protein chick food, do you think I should try 20% or 24% protein chick food to see if it helps?

What are the main causes for feather picking/eating?

I’m trying to find out the causes for feather picking and eating. I have 3 week old chicks and 2 week old chicks in completely different groups that are doing this same behavior. They all were move to bigger pens because I thought that might be part of it and added clutter to try to keep them...
