I wholeheartedly agree with that. For those that don't have the option of no neighbors, good fences are the next best option.

Consider barricade/privacy type fencing. If you can't afford to do the whole yard, put it around your coop/run area. With a door for it, you would be able to lock it when you're not around, and at night so it would keep unwanted neighbors out. This will stop a lot of the neighbors' nosiness...
