You've still got time. Enjoy him now, but be wary and watchful around the 5 month mark. If your daughter is young, then be careful about him jumping up and scratching her face. If he doesn't attack you once he reaches 5 months old, then hold on to him tight and keep him forever. The collar thing is a tad controversial, so know that going into it ;)- LizzzyJo
