    I'm glad you asked! Wounds, especially infected ones, can fester and become very severe in very little time. Leaving dressings on for more than 24 hours will cause moisture to seep in, which makes it a breeding ground for bacteria, especially taking into consideration how much bacteria chickens...

    That should do fine. Keep an eye on it and change the dressings every day until it heals. It's still bumblefoot, you just caught it in an early stage. :)

    Yeah, bumblefoot is essentially a scrape or cut that becomes infected due to dirty conditions.

    I'm sorry, how do you know it was infected if there wasn't any pus? You'll need to soak it in iodine, then spray it with Veterycin and apply the Neosporin before covering it with gauze and wrapping it. It should heal on its own.
