    I have 2 dividers in a long box that separates the 3. I almost wonder if I should just remove them an then they have 4' of laying room. kind of like you appear to have.

    The boxes are all side by each along a wall. The only difference is proximity to the coop door, and amount of light coming in from the window.

    Strange.... I didn't get any notifications that there were replies, so I assumed there were none. I'm out of town for a couple of days, but I'll put the golf balls ack in the boxes again when I get home. They were in there when they came of age in order to convince them to lay in there, but...

    So, I've got 5 hens (used to have 8)and 3 nest boxes. Aside from location in the coop, they're identical. The girls only lay in 1 of them though. I've seen up to 3 hens in it at a time, with another hen impatiently waiting (squawking non stop) for her turn. What gives? Is there a trick to...
