Dyed quail eggs yesterday, super fun! Left side.

But if I keep some as pets it would have destroyed the whole point of getting quail... which for me was to have adorable birdies but not deal with the constant anxiety I have with my chickens that they’re constantly on their death bed...

Thinking about it... Also thinking about keeping the Italian, falb fee, and favorite pharaoh as pets and moving them to a smaller cage, then offing the rest and starting over with new Italian and/or Egyptian fee eggs.

Right now there are three laying. One pharaoh, the Italian, and the falb fee.

My pharoah’s eggs are very dark. They look like milk chocolate. :lol:

I think the italian definitely have some celadon. The eggs are very green. And the ones from you were all blue on the inside.

No wait, they were actually younger. I just checked and my younger ones are only just over 5 weeks old today. Making my older ones about 8 weeks old currently.

Yep, I intigrated them a few weeks ago. The big ones were probably 6-7 weeks and the little ones 3-4? It went really smoothly! :D They've been getting along great. There was a huge most adorable quail cuddle pile the other day.

Now I atting it.

I can't wait for them to start laying. I want more. When do the boys start mating and being jerks? I currently have two pairs in one cage, wondering when I should be prepared to split them up.
