    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

Me too! Not a trace yesterday or today! Thank you everyone for helping me keep the babies healthy! Also, a neighbor ended up giving us their old coop that can fit the other group, so I don’t need to worry about mixing them until they are all big enough to free range together! We’ve had some...

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

So this morning there was just one watery poo with a hint of red in it. Nothing else I can see! Everyone is feisty & moving around, so that is great! So glad everyone recommended starting Corid early so I did! ❤️

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

Thank you! They are in two different boxes, they were right in the same room but I moved the littles (we got them a week after the first group) to another area when I saw blood. I wasn’t washing my hands between cleaning/handling each group (to expose them to each other’s germs) but I have since...

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

Thank you for your response! Both groups are sharing a coop & run (& free range space when older), we separated them during brooding. I will take that into consideration as we were hoping to move them sooner than later!

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

Just did a second check. I’ve been trying to clean every 2-3 hours during the day, picking up all poos as suggested. All looked normal on this cleanup. Everyone still eating/moving.

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

I picked every piece of poo out their brooder this morning & investigated. After looking at the 100 or so poos, these are the blood tinged ones. There is not a huge amount of blood, and I had to move the tissue around a bit to see the red. They’ve been on Corid about 36 hours. All moving around...

I will do that. It is barely noticeable...I’ve been looking super hard at all of it.

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

Everyone is up & about, eating & drinking like normal thank goodness. Found a few more reddish poos but most look normal. Do you guys think they’ll be ok? Topped them off with wet mash made of Corid water before turning lights out. When should the bloodiness disappear? It’s been a little more...

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

Thank you for your advice! Here is my brooder, & a few pics of the girls. ❤️ I had them in deep litter before noticing the blood poo, and this morning cleaned everything out & switched to just a sprinkling of shavings on puppy pads to make it easy to clean & monitor. So far, everyone is acting...

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

Thank you both. Fingers crossed the Corid works. @katelwil have you ordered from that website (just checking that it’s legit as I almost got scammed earlier this year). Would love answers to the rest of my questions, thanks everyone!

    A bunch of Cocci/Corid questions

My chicks are roughly 3 weeks old & are on their first 24 hours of Corid for cocci symptoms. 1. When should I see an improvement in poo(there were 2 slightly bloody pops this morning, one yesterday but the rest have been normal). No other symptoms have been observed. 2. After day 7 do I stop...
