    Here in the Steamy Southeast, where normal summer temperatures and 95F with 95% humidity from mid-June to mid-September metal is used almost universally for animal housing. Coupled with generous ventilation, of course.

    I suggest that in a climate that regularly sees multiple weeks of temperatures over 100F any clear panel is a bad idea due to the greenhouse effect and that metal would be better. In either case, if deep shade could be provided that would be a good idea. I had to put a cheap picnic pavilion...
