    Hen one has her chicks with the flock. No problem with them. Hen two..she is on her nest of eggs. I plan on putting her in the pen once her eggs hatch. Hen two is the one that attacked the chicks. Hope it works out as good as you.

    Chicks are 5 days old. All of the flock likes them except for the 4 year old broody . The 4 year old is on her own eggs that will be hatching any day.

    I've only had chickens for a few years. I am just now seeing one of my older broody hens (she is sitting on eggs) come off her nest,see the two chicks with another hen,then run over and attack the chicks. No blood or death yet as I intervene. I am concerned. Hope she will chill when her chicks...
