That changes as a bird goes on. A hybrid will likely outlay everyone else in a landslide for the first 2 or 3 years. Then they'll fall behind as the years go on
If you're looking for the most eggs in the first 2 years, it will be any of the traditional hybrids.
Reliable eggs over a few years, look at heritage layer birds (mediteranian breeds, bantams, nothing dual purpose or meat based)
