    I can back this up! :D We have five white eggers, three Anconas, and two California Whites, and they are all likely one year old. (We got them around Valentine’s Day last year). Anyway, one of those hens has been laying young double yokers.

    Not uncommon with ours either Blue. Especially with our decorative white layers, (Anconas and California whites. And every now and then, my Wyandotte.) However, our fences are over 4 feet high. We clip both wings as we don't want them eaten by owls and coyotes that lurk around.

    Rumor/myth: Roosters always jump up somewhere high (A barn roof for instance) to crow. And, they only crow at dawn. FALSE: Our roosters crow anywhere from the hen house, or the yard. And our roosters will crow from 10 pm at night all throughout the next day. :lau
