Not completely abnormal for a splash chick to be very light, almost white in color with down.

Actually it's not that hard to tell what color a chick is gonna be. Though at times, it could be hard to tell the difference between a couple that look really similar, like partridge, & blue partridge chicks.

Blue. Though I had a solid blue chick grow upto be a Blue Partridge. What colors are the parents?
