If you wash and leave the egg in the fridge for a few weeks they will dry up inside and wont have a hole in them. I left a dozen eggs in the fridge at the "other" farm for well over a year and they didnt even smell too bad when broken open. They actually dehydrate themselves. Hollow with a gummy...- jlk1
