That's what I thought, but looking closer, the pink looks like a pink dogwood. I'm not sure the bark is right though. Maybe a pink Bradford pair or a Jane magnolia?

The purple flowers in the foreground grow wild here, as does the yucca behind it. The purple muhly grass is one of my favorites.
