The middle one (possible girl) is bigger than the others (born same day) and shyer than the others, which is similar to my girl. I thought she was a few days older when she arrived from the store because she was always a few days ahead of the boy in development, and he was much braver than her...
I looked back at the pictures of mine when they were younger and I agree with you that the boy's 'bum-top' was blacker. But right now the babies are still shedding their fluff, so there is still a small chance I have girls in there ;)
Either way, I'll figure out the living arrangements... I...
I am starting to think all 3 are boys because the beaks seem paler than their mom's was
I will know more in a few weeks :) and we'll have some pictures of progress for next time.
I'll try to get pictures in daylight, the shades of brown were slightly different when their parents were that...
Updated pictures, they are now a month old (momma is in some of the pictures)
I would LOVE to make clear pictures of all of them standing still and smiling for the camera, but they won't stop moving! (AGHhhh!!)
So? What do you want to bet now? I can't see any difference between them...
As long as this does not predict the dynamic for their having kids (and dumping the diaper duties on grandma!) It is ok...
But (to be safe) maybe you should start giving them duck-duty to make sure they understand 'parenthood' is more than waving "have a nice day" as they pull out of the...
Above is your reply from months ago..
For future reference ☺️
The one in the foreground grew up to be a girl (who now has 3 babies of her own!)
The one in the back is my squawky momma's boy.
I read one description where it says if you take more than 20sec before putting them back right side up they die.
We need to find a better way... I need them born with drake feathers!
One is noticeably smaller than the other two, but that often evens out as eating takes over from egg-living-room-service
I tried checking vents but they were so recently out of the shell that they had yet to poop, and there was no vent
I may try again this weekend... (Isn't that what everyone...
Well, if he is a boy, he is the strong silent type ;) He is sweet and more easily cuddles in my arms. If I wrap myself around him he lies down, like a baby under his mother's wing.
Both have same colouring except She is browner and He is a little grayer. She was the top one in the pic so yes...
Is this a boy 'qwacking' ? I can post longer videos with better visual if that helps. He/she doesn't speak much, so this was the only time I managed to get audio. :)
They are now 5 weeks old... When they were newborn someone said Kaki Campbell (I believe that was a correct) can we say boy/girl now (and safely name them ;) )
