Some vets say egg withdrawl is forever with Baytril. Baytril is not licensed for use in poultry, but is often prescribed for pets. Some will say a 28 day withdrawl for eggs, a forever withdrawl for eating the meat. So..... without a vet to advise, I would do at least a month, then you will...
Agreed, the 10% solution has 100mg of medication per ml, so to get the 27mg needed that would be about 1/4 ml from the bottle. I should have been more clear in my answer. :oops: The dosage that PoultryDVM recommends for e coli is 10-15 mg/kg, which is what we've said here.
10 mg per kg of bird weight, 2 times a day, so every 12 hours. So you need to get a weight, an inexpensive digital kitchen scale works well. 1 kg = 2.2 lb
So a 6 lb bird would get 6 / 2.2 = 2.7, 2.7 x 10mg = 27 mg
