New nest box is finally in. It is one big nest box since right now my teens have no issues climbing in the same box and laying. If it becomes an issue we will add a divider.

That is what I was thinking. Hopefully they use them under the poop boards. I have one that now because of my broody and moms that won't use my nest boxes and finds a spot under the poop board to lay. So think she would enjoy it

I prefer them outside to save coop space. And I am not really the handy one. That is my husband. Lol. I could do it if I had to but it probably wouldn't look good or line up right.

Outside or inside? I am trying not to take up floor space.

Hopefully these pictures work. The outside pic with no windows would be under poop boards. The side with the fence is the inside with half poop boards half open wall.

Yes I will take outside pics too. The ones I have work great besides broody and Mama's hogging them. Lol. I did get a bin and opened back up under the boards hoping some would use the bin (it is on its side) but noone has laid in it. I even put fake eggs in it but no luck.

It may work but those would need to be inside. My bigger chickens wouldn't be able to use them with the height but smaller ones should..

well my nest box opens from the outside to collect the eggs. But I have had either a broody or a mama and babies in a nest box for the past few months more times than not so I have been going in to collect them so I am fine with one either way.

right now too many. LOL But planning on getting down to 17. and my hens (have 7 that lay right now) aren't big on sharing if more than 3 need to lay around the same time so only see that getting worse once the "teens" start laying. So would like to add 2 more boxes at least.

Ok. I have added to my flock and think I need another couple nest boxes. Not sure where to add them. I can either put one up a little bit inside the coop under the window next to the other nest boxes. Add some outside, like the ones I have but only place I can add them is under the poop...
