    I think its an underlying osteomyelitis at this point. Do you have her on any antibiotics?

    I think the long thin part is the tunneled infection, and that the wide end is dead bone. The wound bed may be scarred enough that it created a 'false-joint' situation. That bone bit may be what needed to come out, chronic osteomyelitis is awful to treat. Hope she does ok 😇
