    How do I tell if a month and a half old chick is a rooster or not?

    By a month and a half, you should start getting a pretty good idea by looking at the chick's comb and wattles. They should be turning red by that age on most males. If they're still yellow, or even just light pink, it's a good chance you've got a female.
