    Oh! I missed that in the previous post you made. So even if I got all blue hens and a blue rooster from a hatchery, any chicks raised could potentially be black or splash?

    I did look at them, and they are a close second or third to Australorps. The Delawares from Deer Run Farm also are tempting. I am more interested in egg production, so the Australorps seem a better fit.
