I'm getting some Columbian Rock hatching eggs this week. Not sure if they are going to hatch this May, but I'm excited! Dual purpose.
And here comes @Canadian Wind 's
"You have enough chickens."
"But I don't have these chickens!"
And now I'm wondering...
She has Brahmas if I remember correctly. What if she labeled brahma eggs 'EE'?
So that's why they're coming out with feathered legs?
This is a sheer disappointment, with the EE's. I ordered 3 dozen, 8 quit, and a dozen more haven't hatched, and no pips. WTH???
So, out of that, only 16 EE's hatched. :rant
Ok, I have a conundrum here. I have two EE's with feathered legs. One white and one brown. The one pictured here is the brown one and seems to have the most feathers on the legs
I've got babies as well! Last night a yellow one hatched, and then this morning 8 more hatched. I've got lots of pips, and some of the EE's hatched already. The first EE to hatch was from a green egg.
My eggs are doing well :| Dunno if they are all going to make it. The pink EE eggs are good. So are my blue ones and brown ones. Thing is I can't see inside the EE's. I am going to candle them before lockdown, which is approaching.
I candled yesterday. Most of the green eggs didn't make it. They either quit or weren't fertile. :rantI've never had so many quitters.
But I have 21 eggs left. I've got 2 brown eggs (I know, cheating on the hatchalong), but I've also got 3 prairie bluebells, as I've mentioned before. :)
